Our Story
Our story began back in 1976. Charlie Seeger, our founder, started his career as a Whirlpool Service Agent. He kept noticing people needed more reliable home comfort solutions all over West St. Louis County, and the then-current crop of companies just wasn’t cutting it. That’s why he expanded in heating and AC repair. From the jump, him and Suzi, his wife, built their business on a people-first approach. They were all about delivering honest, quality work. All the while treating customers like neighbors (a lot of them were actually our neighbors in the beginning!)
By the mid-’80s, Chesterfield Service had earned a sterling reputation; reliable, professional, punctual, helpful. That reputation directly helped them expand into full-on full equipment replacement and installation. Growth naturally followed.
- 1986: Charlie and Suzi’s oldest son, Chris, joined the company. That brought the team to four full-time employees; a pretty big milestone we still remember!
- 1990: Then, Charlie’s second son, Travis, joined full-time. That solidified the business as a tried and true multi-generational family operation.
- 1996: Chesterfield Service acquired two local competitors. It doubled in size almost overnight while maintaining its steady and healthy 10-15% annual growth trajectory.
- 2007: This was a landmark year; we reached 27 full-time team members. Chesterfield Service was now the largest and oldest family-owned and operated HVAC contractor in all of St. Louis County!
Today, Chesterfield Service still carries that long legacy of being a dependable home services company: heating, cooling, plumbing, indoor air quality; our team is trained and does it all to perfection.

Our roots are firmly planted in West St. Louis County, but we’ve grown our service area quite a bit since the ‘70s. Today, we’re still delivering those repairs and installs all across West St. Louis County and St. Charles County.
